I want to be kind of lame
and link a countdown to my other blog. You know, for my mom. So she can see when I am home from Africa. Like, “is it Christmas yet?”
How do I do this?
Sometimes, when the vacuum is running, Riley will come downstairs and put his head on your lap.
I am not sure, but I think you’re wearing a great shirt.
I asked the barista this morning when these fantastic winter beverages are released…
and the wonderful day will be….
TUESDAY!!!!!!
no matter what, it will be a good day.
I have red cup day marked on my calendar. I don’t know what I’ll do to mark the occasion.
Good news: I made cinnamon dolce ice cream last night. It was incredible. From scratch. This included skimming cream off the top of my milk pitcher before pasteurizing it. Just call me pioneer woman.

Sometimes in Kenya you’ll think you’re just hangin’ out, and then somebody will be like, “Lisa is going to make a speech now.”
Then you’ll get up and try to make something up on the spot while standing really awkwardly with an awkward face and wringing your hands. It will look like this.
And if you say “I bring you greetings from _________ (my school, my family, my church, my country)” they cheer wildly and you can say whatever else you want and they’ll think it is great. The greetings get the crowd warmed up.
